Mont Michel School: News & Events

Franco Miguel Hernandez Lumanlan (1991 - 2017)

Mico caught most of the attention and just as quickly shrugged it off, everywhere he went; as though he never knew what the buzz about him was about, so he pranced and danced his way around life light on his feet: an easy going friend, a worrier in trouble, an apologetic worker, always striving to be better.

While everyone seemed to have given him such high regard, he fooled us all and led us to believe that his peak had yet to have come. Yet, we all seemed to have known how much more he was than he tried to make us believe. But God knew best, and picked the best blossomed among us to join Him.

“If some one loves a flower of which just one example exists among all the millions and millions of stars, that’s enough to make him happy when he looks at the stars. He tells himself, ‘My flower’s up there somewhere. . . .’”

- - - The Little Prince (the role Mico played in MM’s production of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s novel for his high school graduation in 2007)

I do not seek to understand that I may believe,
But I believe in order to understand.
